In the article, I try to bring out the revolutionary potential of the conceptual persona of the sorcerer, introduced by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari in A Thousand Plateaus. After analyzing the nature of the sorcerer, focusing on two aspects of the anomalous, I show the sorcerer “in action”, interpreting one of his or her incarnations: captain Ahab. In the final part of the text, I endeavor to present the conditions of possibility for imagining an incarnation of the sorcerer in the time of global capitalism.
